Tomeka Reid Named 2026 Doris Duke Awardee
The Doris Duke Artist Award is one of the nation’s most significant honors recognizing exceptional performing artists. It provides unrestricted support to artists, creating space for continued experimentation, research, and creative work.
Reid was among six artists recognized in 2026, including fellow jazz artists Makaya McCraven and Val Jeanty, as well as theater artists Aleshea Harris and Yara Travieso, and choreographer Allison Orr.
